Refunds & Returns Policy

Forged & Hewn LLC (“Forged & Hewn”, “we”, “us”, “our”) stands behind the quality of our work and the craftsmanship of every piece we produce or sell.

Because our offerings include both custom fabrication services and standard retail items, our refund and return terms differ depending on the type of order.

By purchasing from www.forgedandhewn.com or engaging us for fabrication or consulting services, you agree to this Refunds & Returns Policy.

2. Eligibility for Returns

We accept returns for eligible retail items purchased online or in person, provided they meet the following conditions:

  • The item must be unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging.

  • The return request must be made within 14 days of delivery.

  • The item must not be a custom, made-to-order, or personalized product.

Non-Returnable Items Include:

  • Custom or made-to-order pieces

  • Items built to customer specifications (dimensions, finishes, or materials)

  • Sale or clearance items

  • Digital design files or consultancy fees

  • Gift cards

If your item is defective or damaged on arrival, see Section 5 below.

3. Return Process

To initiate a return:

  1. Email contact@forgedandhewn.com with your order number and reason for return.

  2. We’ll confirm eligibility and provide return shipping instructions.

  3. Once approved, return the item in its original packaging to the address provided.

Return Shipping Costs

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (e.g., incorrect or defective item).

  • We recommend using a trackable shipping method; we are not responsible for lost return shipments.

4. Refund Processing

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you via email regarding the status of your refund.

  • Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

  • Shipping charges from the original order are non-refundable.

  • If the product shows signs of wear, use, or damage, a partial refund or denial may apply.

5. Damaged or Defective Items

If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at contact@forgedandhewn.com with photos and details.

We will:

  • Review the issue and arrange a replacement, repair, or refund where appropriate.

  • Work directly with the carrier if damage occurred in transit.

Note: For freight deliveries, visible damage must be noted on the delivery receipt before signing, or claims may be denied by the carrier.

6. Custom & Fabrication Orders

Custom fabrication projects, consultancy, and facilitation services are non-refundable once work has begun.

This includes:

  • Materials procurement

  • Design or drafting work

  • Fabrication or assembly

  • Third-party coordination and subcontracted work

If a custom project is canceled before materials are purchased or fabrication begins, we may refund a portion of your deposit at our discretion, less any design or administrative costs incurred.

Each project proposal or contract may include additional terms that supersede this section.

7. Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges.
If you wish to exchange an item, please return the original item (if eligible) and place a new order for the replacement.

8. Order Cancellations

Orders for retail items may be canceled within 24 hours of placement by contacting contact@forgedandhewn.com.
After that time, processing may have begun, and cancellation may not be possible.

Custom projects cannot be canceled once fabrication or design work is underway.

9. Final Sale Items

Items marked “Final Sale” or “Clearance” cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded.
