Shipping & Delivery Policy

This Shipping & Delivery Policy (“Policy”) explains how Forged & Hewn LLC (“Forged & Hewn”, “we”, “us”, “our”) handles delivery and shipping of our products and custom projects purchased through our website www.forgedandhewn.com or through direct business engagements.

We are based in Texas, USA, and we ship throughout the continental United States. For large or custom fabrication projects, we also coordinate freight, white-glove delivery, and installation logistics upon request.

By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms of this Policy.

2. Order Processing

2.1 Processing Times

  • Standard in-stock items typically ship within 3–7 business days after payment confirmation.

  • Custom or made-to-order items have unique production timelines that vary by project and will be communicated before checkout or contract signing.

  • Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed the next business day.

2.2 Order Confirmation
Once your order or project deposit is received, you’ll receive an email confirmation including order details, estimated ship date, and tracking information once available.

2.3 Changes or Cancellations
If you need to change or cancel your order, contact us at contact@forgedandhewn.com within 24 hours of placing it.
Custom orders cannot be canceled after materials or fabrication have begun.

3. Shipping Options & Rates

3.1 Standard Shipping

  • We offer standard ground shipping via trusted carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, USPS).

  • Rates are calculated at checkout based on item size, weight, and delivery destination.

3.2 Freight Shipping (Large or Heavy Items)

  • Larger items (e.g., outdoor fire features, furniture, metal structures) ship via LTL or freight.

  • Freight delivery typically includes curbside drop-off.

  • Additional delivery options—such as liftgate service or in-home placement—can be arranged at an additional charge.

3.3 Custom Project Logistics
For consultancy and facilitation projects, Forged & Hewn may coordinate logistics through our network of fabricators and carriers. Shipping terms, insurance, and delivery schedules will be detailed in your project proposal or invoice.

3.4 Pickup
Local customers in Texas may arrange pickup directly from our workshop or partner facility. Pickup details will be coordinated individually.

4. Delivery & Transit

4.1 Delivery Timeframes
Delivery time varies based on your location and shipping method selected. Standard U.S. delivery times range between 2–10 business days after dispatch.

4.2 Delivery Confirmation & Tracking
Once your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking number via email. For freight or custom deliveries, we may provide a logistics contact or carrier information directly.

4.3 Missed Deliveries / Incorrect Address
Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping details.
Forged & Hewn is not responsible for delays, lost items, or additional charges due to incorrect addresses or missed deliveries.

4.4 Delivery Inspection
Please inspect all shipments upon arrival.
If your order arrives damaged, note it with the carrier and contact us within 48 hours with photos and details so we can assist in filing a claim or arranging replacement.

5. International Shipping

We currently ship within the United States only.
International shipping may be available for custom projects upon request and will require a separate quote covering export, duties, and customs clearance.

6. Shipping Restrictions

We do not ship to:

  • P.O. Boxes

  • APO/FPO addresses

  • Locations where state or federal regulations restrict the sale or delivery of certain materials (e.g., open-flame fire features).

7. Risk of Loss & Title

All products are shipped F.O.B. Origin (Freight On Board) unless otherwise stated.
This means ownership and risk transfer to you once the product is handed to the carrier.
For custom or large-scale deliveries facilitated by Forged & Hewn, insurance options may be offered to cover transit risk.

8. Delays & Force Majeure

We strive to meet estimated timelines, but delays can occur due to carrier issues, supply chain disruptions, extreme weather, or other factors beyond our control.
Forged & Hewn is not liable for delivery delays once an order has been shipped.

9. Damaged or Lost Shipments

If a shipment is lost or arrives damaged:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery (or expected delivery date).

  • Include your order number, photos, and carrier details.
    We’ll work with the carrier to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Note: For freight deliveries, visible damage must be noted on the delivery receipt before signing, or claims may be denied by the carrier.
